Chapter 239 Confusion (Two)

• They began to move, with Becca following them. After what seemed like an eternity, the head of Ryan’s security raised a hand to stop them. They had stumbled upon Ryan and the four men. They stayed in the shadows, being as still as possible as they listened to what was going on. After some time, they were able to find out that the children were in the car with the tinted glasses and were already thinking of the best way to do what they had to do when the other two men left, making their work easier.
• Becca waited with the men in the dark, terrified that a poisonous snake or some other vermin would crawl out of the bushes and bite her or something, but she did her best to remain calm. She was feeling quite good about everything. The men she was with could easily take on the two assholes who were holding her kids and ex-husband captive. The good feeling evaporated when she realized that they had discovered the tracking device that was placed in the bag of money. She clutched her small gun in her hand, and suddenly, it felt useless to her.
• “You bastard! Is anyone else here? You brought people after all, didn’t you? You should have done as I said, and your children would be safe. Now, everyone’s going to get it.” Sam exclaimed, raising his gun and pointing it straight at Ryan. He picked up the tracking device and flung it as far away into the bushes as he could, gesturing at Ben to go to the car with the kids.
