Chapter 107 Time Off (Two)

• “This full-grown woman is your niece, Emma, but you’ve met her before, so I don’t think there is any need for introductions,” Becca replied, rolling her eyes, and accepting the one-armed hug he gave her. He was firmly holding a wriggling Emma with the other arm.
• “She looks so big, much bigger than she looks in video calls.”
• “I know, right? She’s growing up far faster than I’d like.” Becca told him wistfully as they left the airport and went to his apartment, which was quite large and tastefully furnished. At least, her time with Ryan, although it had ended in heartbreak and a lack of trust, had benefitted her in this way. She could afford to give her brother things that she herself had only ever dreamed of having while she was his age.
