Chapter 155 Decisions (One)
- For days after what he had come to term ‘the revelation,’ Ryan could still not believe what he had discovered. He had left that day in shock, so he hadn’t collected Becca’s contact number, but that was no problem at all. He knew how to reach Dan, and if Becca prevailed upon Dan to try any funny business, all hell was going to break loose. He had needed this time to plan what his next course of action would be because one thing was sure. He had missed out on this much of Emma’s life, and he wanted to reclaim and make up for the time he had lost. No one was going to stand in his way, and that was that.
- Finally, he made up his mind on what to do. It was a no-brainer actually. He could not uproot Emma from her life, but he could move to where she lived with Becca, after all, he could live in whatever city he wanted on the planet. Luckily enough, Taylor would give anything to go to the same school with Emma and Alex, or at least be able to see them regularly, so she wouldn’t mind moving in the least. Neither girl knew the truth yet, although he couldn’t say if Becca had told Emma about it. However, he was almost certain that she hadn’t. Becca was probably thinking that she had heard the last of him and that he was going to slink away as though nothing had changed, but she was sorely mistaken.
- A few days after Taylor got back from holiday with Craig’s parents, he asked her what she thought about going to the same school as Alex and Emma. The loud screech and suffocating hug that she gave him were all the answers he needed to know that she was thrilled at the idea. He began the process of enrolling her in their school remotely, and since they were of the same age bracket, they were going to be in the same class. He also rented a small apartment that they could use in the meantime while he would get something bigger that would accommodate him, the two girls, and even Alex. The three were a package deal, it seemed. He asked Taylor to keep it a secret from her friends too, which to his surprise, she actually did.
