• “Okay, dad. I love you too.” Alex replied, watching as his father got into the car and drove away. He couldn’t wait to tell his friends about this. He had a dad too. A dad that he could play football with and who would give him piggy rides, although he was probably too old for piggy rides already, but he was sure that if he asked, his dad would not deny him. After all, they had never done it before, and his dad looked kind.
• He rushed inside and put on better clothes, thinking of going over to Emma’s house to tell her the good news, but paused in his tracks. His dad had warned him not to tell anyone, but surely, he didn’t mean his friends, or did he? He most probably did, so Alex had to obey him. All the same, he was overjoyed. He would keep his father’s secret, so his father could come see him from time to time, and maybe even give him some money as he had done today.
