Chapter 133 Summoning Courage (Two)

• “Are you okay?” A deep masculine voice asked her, startling the living daylights out of her and causing her to shriek out loud. Her phone dropped out of her hands from the residual fear and nervousness that the unexpected voice had wrought in her.
• “Hey, calm down. What’s going on?” Dan’s voice came again. She looked up to see him seated on one of the chairs in her living room. She had been so preoccupied with what she was doing that she had failed to notice him seated there.
• “Jesus Christ! You startled me. How come I didn’t hear you come in?”
