Chapter 124 Dawn Confessions (Two)

• When she got to the living room, Sandra was awake, and staring at the floor shamefacedly, while Catherine cleaned her wounds. They all remained silent until Catherine was done, and then she tended to Alex too, who allowed her to do so now that he saw that his mother was close by. Finally, Catherine was done, and she bade them goodbye before going back to her house to catch some sleep before she had to go to work.
• “Do you want anything to eat?” Becca asked Sandra, suddenly feeling very awkward and not knowing what to say to the latter, which was quite strange, considering how close they had once been.
• “Yes, please, if you don’t mind. I’m starving.” Sandra said gratefully, so Becca warmed up some of the food that she had in the fridge for her. Emma and Alex were playing tentatively with each other, although she noticed that Alex was handling his left arm awkwardly and was avoiding any sort of contact with it.
