Chapter 190 Bad News (Two)

• Ryan returned from the hospital the next morning while she was having breakfast and preparing to go see Emma. To her relief, he didn’t look as disheveled and worn out as she had thought he would look. He joined her at the dining table, and the cook brought breakfast for him, which he only poked at, even though Tracy was sure that he must be starving. He didn’t have an appetite, it seemed. They ate in silence, the only noise in the dining the low hum of the air conditioner in the corner. Ryan pushed away his plate as soon as Tracy finished eating and fixed her with a stare.
• “So, what were you saying last night? Did you take the test yet?”
• “Not yet, but I’ll take it today. I’m sure I’m pregnant, Ryan. I know my body very well.”
