Chapter 80 Jackson Pov

  • The weather today matches my mood. It was so gloomy as I stood in the middle of the garden, lost in thoughts. I wondered how one can be greedy this way. It was really news for me. Drake's investigation has kept me restless for some days now. There was no way Elliot could be the one responsible for all this, it just didn't sit right. I don't know him that well like how Amelia knew him but I knew that he was a greedy wolf who always strived for power.
  • He had an unhealthy competition against me, he always seemed to compete with me in everything I do. I was made an Alpha at a very young age but I was an Alpha before him and not long before I was crowned as the Alpha, Elliot was also crowned as an Alpha. He always commented on that, talked about how he would be greater than me but I brushed it off as a childish dream. I rarely interacted with Elliot. Whenever the Alphas had a meeting, he always took it upon himself to frustrate me during the meetings by countering whatever I said. He wanted everyone to be on his side, especially those in the council and I can say that he succeeded, especially in winning that asshole Damon Neville over. I don't know why he is bothering me with marrying his daughter when Elliot is there to do the job for him. After all, he is a people pleaser, always wanting to look like the good guy while behind that mask he was a snake.
  • Elliot had always had a quieter demeanor than his brothers. He rarely spoke even when he was still a little boy, he wasn't a rowdy kid. Whenever their family attended a party that had been thrown in our Pack, Elliot always sat down like a good little boy. He didn't interact with any of the other children. At first, I thought he was sick but I then knew that that was his nature. He never liked to talk too much, he always sat down, observing everyone at the party. Even when he was spoken to, his voice was so small and timid that you rarely even heard what he said. The only time Elliot was hyper was when he was around his mother. Growing up, I used to see him as a weird little boy or a mama's boy but Elliot spread his Wings when his father died. He started going to meetings together with his eldest brother. When he came to meetings together with his eldest brother, he had an input unlike before when he sat quietly, listening to everyone else. He tried to overshadow his brother during the meetings and parties, he tried to give his own suggestions and make people listen to him. Back then, I really didn't read much into it, he always made a comment about how I was lucky and didn't have any competition. I never understood what he meant. I didn't know that he was suggesting that Simon was a possible threat to me if I didn't take care of him but I never wanted to harm my brother, even if he was chosen as the Alpha of Blood Moon Pack. The last thing on my mind was to kill Simon. I can't say for other people because the moment Elliot's eldest brother died, he showed his true colors. He was no longer the polite little boy who didn't speak when spoken to, rather he turned rude, arrogant, and pompous. He disposed of all his father's advisors and brought in his own. He burned down villages, those he didn't deem worthy to be in his Pack and didn't support his position as the Alpha. He instilled fear in his people but kidnapping and harvesting organs was just something else.
