Chapter 21 Crane Pov
- The feeling of dread as I looked up to see Eliot's sick smile as he watched him roll down the cliff. He turns to me, shock evident on his face. I tried to run but he chased after me, finally catching up to me, he grabbed my hair tightly, yanking it backward as I looked into his murderous eyes. I begged him to spare me, to let me go but Eliot was so determined to end my life. He didn't need any competition. He always said how I was a hindrance to him and his plans, that I was never the little brother he asked for, I was quite a disappointment, I never followed his instructions, and I always had a flimsy excuse to give. I knew that Elliot was greedy but I never knew it was to this extent. He didn't think twice before pushing him off that cliff and I knew I was next. I gave up the fight of struggling with him, as I waited for my death. There was no way Eliot would spare me not after having witnessed his heinous acts.
- I was surprised when he spared me but I wished he had killed me that day. All through my life, I had been his pawn, doing everything he wanted, no questions asked but my constant refusal to marry the wolf he chose for me was like death but I wasn't about to open up that door for Eliot. I would fight back with everything I had in me I didn't know what he had planned for Amelia and me, but would do everything I could to stop his evil plans against my mate. I don't want anything to happen to Amelia, not even a strand of her hair should go missing. I have been submissive all through my life for Eliot, taking shit from him, helping him to take away Amelia from her Pack, helping him to destroy and take over some Pack. He burnt down an entire household that refused to bow down to him during his coronation which made him extremely angry. He said that he felt insulted. I did the dirty work of setting an entire family ablaze, even the little crying baby. It still haunts me today. Eliot was doing all this to be the most powerful Alpha in the werewolf community but whatever scheme he did, whatever plotting he did, Alpha Jackson Kane was always better than him, and that made him feel incompetent. He felt like a loser to Jackson. I need to know about Eliot's plan for Amelia so that I can bridge it. I need to act fast because these days, he seems to be in an awfully good mood.
- "Why won't you tell me if Amelia had written to you or not? What the hell is your problem Karla?"
