Chapter 13 Jackson Pov
- Amelia has been giving me headaches for the past few days. She is so stubborn, doesn't like to stay near me, always finds a way to leave the room whenever I'm present, as if I have some kind of disease on my skin and I think the servants and my brother have noticed because Simon and Drake my beta finds it extremely funny but It wasn't funny to me. They are finally shocked to see a woman that shows zero interest in me. What is wrong with that girl? Seriously, just thinking about her behavior makes me have a migraine. After confronting her about Jeremy's incident and how she ruled her verdict, instead of apologizing she refused to even listen to what I had to say. I have asked Athena countless times if she had noticed something different about Amelia but it's always the same report, that everything is alright with her. Whenever we eat in the dining room, she doesn't glance my way, always bowing her head to her plate or having small conversations with Simon and Drake. Everything I do to get her attention turns futile, it's like I don't even exist in her world. Did that bastard, Crane really shatter her heart? Is that why she can't feel the mate connection? I'm so frustrated right now.
- The wolf council in my pack had been agitating that I send Amelia away and take another Mate and make her my Luna but I will be damned before I let go of Amelia. She is mine and no one should question that. Sooner or later the council would have to accept her as the Luna of Blood Moon Pack or I can help them understand. Already, they are one wolf down because the imbecile questioned my leadership skills in front of other Alpha’s, I had to teach him a lesson and I'm sure he learned it because he is rotting six feet under. That is the same way everyone who tries to hurt Amelia would face the same end. Despite her cold treatment of me, I would still protect her with all I have, I would help her find her pack and exert revenge on Eliot and Crane. I was determined to change Amelia's cold heart and I would make her open up to me and trust me.
- "Athena told me that you haven't yet gotten your tour of the house. Later, after lunch, we can do that," I suggested, smiling at her.
