Chapter 81 A Drunken Confession Pt 1

• Monique shifted her attention from the book she was reading and glanced towards the window in her room when she heard laughter coming from outside in their backyard, mixed with the music they were playing. It seemed like the people outside were having a good time, including her husband.
• Before joining the drinking session, her husband had asked for her permission, if it was okay for him to have a few drinks. She had allowed him, reassuring him that she didn't mind even if he got a little tipsy. She didn't worry because she knew he wouldn't drive home drunk. That was one of her fears, so as much as possible, she discouraged him from drinking excessively, even when they were still dating. She always told him to drink moderately.
• She didn't feel tired yet, so she continued to read. She was also waiting for her husband to finish drinking so that she could take care of him. She remained engrossed in her book for nearly half an hour.
