Chapter 12 Silent Observations

• As planned by Monique and Clarinda, their trip to the mall proceeded as scheduled. Monique was now waiting for Clarinda's arrival. Clarinda had insisted on picking her up from her condo, even though Monique had initially suggested meeting at the mall.
• Monique kept her outfit simple, choosing something suitable for their destination and comfortable to wear. She opted for dark blue skinny jeans paired with a white sleeveless top. She wore sneakers because she didn't want to risk hurting her feet while walking through the mall, knowing they would be exploring numerous stores. She also pulled her hair into a half-ponytail, adding a ribbon for a touch of style. A little powder and lipstick completed her makeup.
• On this particular day, Joshua couldn't join their outing with his mom due to a sudden appointment. He had called Monique earlier to let her know he wouldn't be able to make it. She was well aware that it wasn't an excuse, as Joshua had jokingly mentioned not wanting to be their "bag carrier" when he declined their invitation. He assured her to have a great time, promising to meet her later for dinner. They planned to have dinner together outside.
