Monique signaled Shana to stop the car in front of the building where her husband's office was located. She had asked Shana to drop her off at her husband's office because she couldn't wait any longer to share the exciting news she had just received. She wanted to tell him before informing her parents. Besides, she knew her parents would also be delighted to learn that she was pregnant. They were eagerly anticipating the arrival of a little version of both her and Joshua.
As her friend turned to face her, Monique expressed her gratitude with a heartfelt look. "Thank you, Shana," she said as their eyes met. "I'll make it up to you another day," she added, wanting to treat her friend to a meal to repay her for accompanying her to the OB-GYN clinic.
Shana smiled warmly in response. "You're welcome, Monique. Just give me a call if you need my help," she said with a smile.
