Chapter 70 Silent Drive

• Jacob opened the passenger side door of the car as he and his wife arrived there after leaving the police station.
• "Hop in," he said to Monique in a gentle voice, giving her a reassuring look as he held the roof of the car to prevent it from accidentally hitting her head. He extended his other hand to assist her. Monique didn't utter a word as she got inside the car. Jacob released a deep sigh as he kept his eyes on his wife.
• Once he was sure that Monique was seated comfortably, he carefully closed the door. Then, he stepped towards the driver's seat. Opening the door, he got inside the car.
