• Alone in the room, Monique released a deep sigh, and memories of the past came flooding back. She raised her hand to her left chest where she felt the pain. The memory of her past was still haunting her, and it seemed she wouldn't be able to forget it until the day she died. She had been hurt so deeply, especially now that she had learned that even her closest friend had betrayed her.
• Amy was not the only one who attempted to talk to her; Joshua also made an effort. However, she refused to see him. She couldn't bear to speak to him or face him. But Joshua found a way to reach out to her.
• He gave her a letter in which he explained himself. Similar to what Amy had told her, Joshua insisted that their intentions were not to hurt her. They had simply fallen in love. They had tried to suppress their feelings for each other, and they even attempted to distance themselves because they didn't want to hurt her. But the farther they got from each other, the more they fought against their emotions, the stronger their feelings for each other grew. Eventually, they couldn't resist any longer. Joshua's letter was filled with apologies. It was a long letter, but she couldn't finish reading it because her chest tightened as she read it. Not only that, she felt a sharp pain in her abdomen. She was so scared for her baby at that moment that she immediately asked Shana to take her to the hospital for a check-up. Thankfully, her pregnancy was fine, and the doctor advised her to avoid stress.
