• "WHAT!?" Monique leaned closer to Amy, struggling to hear her voice over the loud music in the bar.
• Some of their friends had invited them to go out to the bar, wanting to unwind. Monique decided to join them since she had nothing to do after Amy picked her up from her condo. It seemed like Amy missed going out after her foot had healed.
• Monique had no choice but to go with her since she had already informed her boyfriend, Joshua, about the outing. Joshua wanted to come along, but he couldn't because he had a proposal to finish for a meeting the next day. He emphasized the need for her to be cautious and to keep an eye on their drinks. They shouldn't leave them unattended, and they should avoid all leaving the table at once. There should always be someone left behind to watch over. Joshua was concerned about someone possibly spiking their drinks, and he wanted them to stay safe.
