• Monique raised an eyebrow at her husband after he had placed their purchases from the grocery store earlier in the kitchen cupboard. He then turned to her, and she noticed the corner of his mouth curling up as he looked at her.
• "What?" she asked, meeting his gaze head-on.
• Instead of responding, he approached her. She took a step back, but her husband continued to advance toward her until she had no more room to retreat, her back against the wall.
