Chapter 111 A Familiar Beat

  • Jacob released a deep sigh as he parked the car in front of the house where his family lived. He had originally planned to talk to Monique the next day, but ever since he had spoken to the children earlier at the Principal's Office, and after he had hugged them, he couldn't wait any longer. He wanted to speak to Monique now because he wanted his children to get to know him as their father. He didn't want to waste any more time. He wanted to introduce himself to the children, to make them feel how much he loved them, to make them feel that they had a father who was willing to do anything for their well-being, someone who would protect and defend them.
  • He could feel their longing for their father. In that moment, Jacob was eager to introduce himself to them, but he restrained himself. As he had told Monique, he didn't want to preempt her. He wanted her to be the one to introduce him to the twins as their father.
  • When his emotions had somewhat calmed down, he opened the door on the driver's side and stepped out of the car. At that moment, his heart was pounding intensely due to the excitement he was feeling. He could also sense his hands trembling from nervousness.
