Chapter 54 Frannie

• Once everyone was safely inside the bunker I activated the locking mechanism, we were here for the long haul now. The only ones who could open the bunker were Kieran and other members of leadership. Hopefully it wasn’t going to be a long process and our pack would suffer little to no losses.
• After four hours, I was swamped with overwhelming sadness. I knew that it was coming from Kieran, but I had no idea of the cause. I didn’t know if the battle was over, so it wasn’t safe for me to try to find out the cause. Waiting to find out what our losses had been was painstaking. I desperately wanted out of here, so I could go to Kieran to console him.
• An hour later I heard the click of the mechanism and the door opened to reveal Kieran with haunted red rimmed eyes. My heart sank as I walked to wrap my arms around him.
