Chapter 41 Frannie

• The last few weeks have been terrific. I have spent a lot of time with Kayla and Tristan getting their coffee shop ready for a grand opening. I of course never met the previous owner but if his personality matched his housekeeping skills, good riddance. When I say we found plenty of disgusting things, I mean I will think twice about going out for any sort of food or beverage for the foreseeable future.
• Spending a lot of time with someone usually means that you open up to one another and Kayla was no exception. She shared that her parents had rejected one another after they realized that despite the mate bond, they really didn’t love one another.
• Her mom was the type who loved everyone and wanted the best for anyone she encountered, unfortunately that meant her mom made a few bad judgments along the way and so they didn’t always have things they needed.
