• I have been sitting here for ten minutes with my head in my hands. It feels like an eternity; my anger and fear are both palpable. Nikki hasn’t had her wolf for 24 hours yet and Wyntre is going to be working overtime to help her heal.

• I heard a set of doors swing open and I looked up to see my parents heading my way. Dad is pissed. From the look on his face, Eurynomus himself would be trembling in fear. Mom on the other hand is Eleos in the flesh, compassion written all over her face. That was all it took, one look at my mom and the tears began to flow. I am not ashamed to cry, my girl’s life is on the line and I am so angry and scared right now. Mom’s arms wrapped around me and I sobbed on her shoulder.
