• I need a break. Everything has been in such chaos lately that I have lost contact with what is important and what isn’t. I messaged Jonas and asked him to grab the twins and meet me at K & T after they got out of school for the day. Of course when I walked in Ms. Kayla greeted me with a smile and a hug.
• “Are you ok Nikki? You don’t seem your usual happy self?” she asked, looking me over.
• “I am fine Ms. Kayla, I just need a minute to relax and be normal. Everything has just been so busy since I got home that I haven’t had a lot of time to cherish the things I have missed about home,” I replied as I looked over the menu board.
