• I sat at the desk for just a moment thinking about everything that had been said and what needed to be done. I realized there would be no Alpha ceremony so that the pack would be able to celebrate ‘the changing of the guard’ but if I am able to find my mate, I can make sure there is one hell of a celebration for her.
• I stood and walked back out into the living room where the guys were talking quietly amongst themselves. “I assume you called the council?” Bill questioned and I nodded in confirmation.
• “We have to gather as many as we can of those who witnessed what happened and yours and Xavier’s dads, then I will relieve him of his duties. I know it isn’t traditional or ideal, but it is in the pack’s best interest. I’ll call the guards and tell them to add leg cuffs and not to administer another dose of wolfsbane,” I sighed in explanation.
