Chapter 53 Frannie

• There has been some rogue activity lately and I had the discussion with Kieran that since he would prefer, I don’t fight unless necessary, I would rather shelter with the rest of the pack. The exception of course being if there is no safe way for me to be with the rest of our pack members who don’t fight.
• There hasn’t been an actual attack yet, but they are coming close to the borders, and we are preparing for the inevitable moment when our borders are breached. I feel strongly about showing the pack that we are there to always support them. I have never been a frail little princess up on a pedestal and really, at 15 Frankie needs to be exposed to the pack members' fears and concerns as well as their times of happiness and prosperity.
• Suzie, Melissa and I took the boys over to the pack bunker to clean and organize things better. There is now a three-day supply of food and water for worst case scenarios. We prepared the mourning room for those who were directly affected by losing their mate in battle, they didn’t need to be with the general population for everyone to observe their agony and often their death. In addition to the supply of food and water there are blankets available for comfort. The bunkers aren’t luxurious by any means and even for wolves, can be a bit cool. There are even a few folding chairs available for the elders, like Granny Delia, who aren’t capable of sitting on the floor.
