I took the opportunity to brush my teeth, wash my face, put on fresh make-up, and run a brush through my hair once we got into our room. I looked at myself in the full-length mirror and decided I looked passable. I was starting to get excited about the concert this evening and was ready to dance my ass off.
“You look beautiful, Anise. Let’s go have some supper and then we’ll head on over to the concert,” Kieran said as he leaned on the door facing of the bathroom.
“Beautiful might be an overstatement. I’m passable,” I replied, turning to face him.
