Chapter 12 Frannie

• I heard Hope clear her throat and speak as I descended the stairs back down to the second floor. “These two rooms here are available; you can decide who gets which one. Don’t hesitate to ask if you need something. I should probably go see if I am needed for something,” she said before I heard her coming down the steps as I slammed my door shut.
• I had already flopped myself onto the bed and was staring at the ceiling when Hope quietly opened the door and came to sit on the side of my bed after closing the door back behind her.
• “I don’t think he was trying to be rude, Frannie. I think he was honestly trying to pay you a compliment. He seemed kind of sad when he got here, so it might have even been his truth,” she said softly.
