• I didn’t mean to share my pathetic life story with Frannie, she was just easy to talk to. I had no intention of letting things get as far as they did. I have always had a rule about unmated she-wolves, HANDS OFF!
• Wolves are territorial, especially when it comes to our mates. Male wolves can be a little asinine when it comes to the purity of their mates, which is a double standard, because many males are not pure when they find their mates. Like I said, hands off when it comes to she-wolves, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been with a human female or two.
• Frannie says she doesn’t want a mate, but the truth is she could still meet him at the ball in two nights. Which should be a big red flag for me to keep my hands off. Should, being the operative word here, because I want Frannie and I really can’t explain why. Other than her listening to me ramble on about my past without judgment, she hasn’t been all that nice and even broken my nose. But I wanted her like a drowning man wants a breath of air.
