• I had only slept for a few hours, before I was mind-linked by Emily that she and Beni were ‘on the door’ while their mates had taken over for Isha’s warriors in Frannie’s room. As I lay here with my beautiful mate in my arms, I really couldn’t be happier. Frannie had agreed to give us a chance, now it was my responsibility to convince her to stay.
• I need to call for a hotel room for after the concert. I think that will be the best time for Frannie to reject her pack and bring her into mine. I didn’t really want to wake her and spoil her rest, but the facts pointed to our not being exactly welcome here any longer. Alpha Carl wouldn’t dare outright insult another Alpha, but he likely feels honor bound to side with his Beta. Fine by me, the sooner I can get Frannie away from here, the sooner she can begin to heal.
• “Anise my love, it’s time to wake and get ready to leave,” I said as I brushed her hair out of her face. She rolled and snuggled her pillow closer but didn’t budge otherwise. It was hard to believe that the angelic looking creature, snuggled with her pillow, was my spicy little hellion. I put my lips next to her ear and tried waking her again. “Frannie, baby, it’s moving day and tonight is the concert. There’s a lot we need to get done,” I murmured, stroking my hand slowly down her arm.
