Chapter 64
- Lorenzo's POV
- Yvonne served me a glass of whiskey as I settled down in her house. I moved slowly, doubting every step and trying as hard as possible to not let my emotions take the best of me. I was indeed becoming overprotective of Marilyn and even I didn't understand why. I hoped that I could take a breather from everything that was happening. Yvonne knew me well, a part of me still trusted that she'd know what to do. My mind was still stuck on the last time I saw Marilyn and how I felt when it happened. I had a sudden urge to call her, but I decided against it. There was no telling what she would say if I called her.
- Yvonne opened the conversation by asking me what was wrong. I was too furious to speak and the last thing I wanted was to give Yvonne a chance at feeling powerful over Marilyn. After asking her to stay away from her, there I was. In an aching instant, I spoke, "This was a mistake, I should go," I stood abruptly and she followed behind me. "Wait," she tagged on my white shirt, "we don't have to talk about it, you could just stay a while...okay?" She came closer to me, her hips swaying swiftly as though she intended for them to graze my groin. Her eyes were wide with desire, a mixture of fear and desperation. My body responded quickly to her touch. Her soft lips parted, offering herself to me. I shut my eyes for a moment and I sat down. Thinking of how the sky outside was getting darker.
