Chapter 15

• Adeline's POV
• Exhaustion had caught up with me, but I knew I had work to do. I knew that resting again meant thinking about the nights he spent with me. I shook the thought out of my mind and began preparing to enter the field. I took my camera and called Michael and asked if he could meet me at the entrance to the golf course so he could help me with a membership number, which I didn't have, and if I wanted to meet John Sniper, the CEO of WUE, I had to go inside.
• Michael enthusiastically agreed and said he would wait outside, parking his car at the outer entrance. After changing, I got into the car and headed down the road to the main street where I stopped for gas. It was Thursday morning, a perfect time to get to a golf course. After parking the car, I rushed towards the gate, trying not to be caught by the cameras. Fortunately, I was one of the last to arrive, so it was relatively easy to sneak in unnoticed. I followed the signs to the entrance at the front of the building. I entered and found myself in a large room full of tables and chairs. Several people were sitting together, drinking coffee, and talking. I looked around for Michael but there was no sign of him.
