• Lorenzo broke through my thoughts after he spoke. "Your new COO? Really? You could have picked anybody else but him!" He pointed viciously in the direction of his office which was then going to belong to Conner. "I...I honestly didn't know, I just felt so out of place being at your fancy hotel party" "For crying out loud! I know that, but that doesn't mean that....did you make out with him?"
• "Are we talking about the same guy?" I asked incredulously because that was not the sort of thing one says. "Listen, Lorenzo, it shouldn't even matter who the hell I make out with because I don't belong to you," I added. The way he glared at me told me that I probably shouldn't have said that.
