Chapter 28
- Lucy's POV
- "Who the hell did that?! Bastards! In a fit of rage, I threw the glossy magazines at one of my bodyguards. My mind was overtaken by a huge amount of anger. These guards were tasked with protecting my every move, but they had failed me miserably. They were unaware of the presence of these stupid paparazzi whose cameras caught me against my will. It was a reminder of the moments when my very fame started to haunt me. "Miss Lucy," one of the men ventured cautiously, "if I may suggest, you have the authority to sue the publisher of the magazine for breach of your confidentiality.
- We have a right to our public image…" he was right, of course, but his words offered little comfort. Lawsuits would not be enough to silence these magazine companies, and if not them, then the developing internet. Each publishing house was constantly leaking information and challenging anything possible. I wanted more than just legal battles; I wanted to enforce punishment that taught a deep lesson. The people responsible deserved nothing less than death for having dared cross me.
