• Something dangerous was bound to happen when meeting up with the bitter ex-mate. I didn’t come here unprepared and wasn’t even surprised when she pulled a gun on me – no, actually, I was a bit surprised. I had expected her to pull a knife or to start attacking me with her fists. I hadn’t really thought a girl like Lily had it in her to pull out a gun and threaten to shoot me.
• “You should have left him for me.” Her hands were shaking as she held the gun. “You should have had the decency to leave him for me. If you thought of me as a friend for even a second, you should never have been with him. You always looked down on me, didn’t you? You thought I wasn’t good enough but neither are you!” She was shouting, her hands vibrating.
• I watched her for the right time to disarm her. I wasn’t even sure she knew how to use that gun and I wasn’t about to wait to find out. This bitch wasn’t allowed to hurt me a second time.
