Chapter 20

• When I learnt the original Selene planned to pursue veterinary medicine, I thought she did it for Xander. After all, her whole life seemed to revolve around him but I learnt that Xander was pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration. Thus, while Seth and I studied, he just sat there and said nothing.
• Actually, Seth and I weren’t studying. He was teaching me everything. For a gruff guy, he had a lot of patience and I considered myself lucky to have met him. I also discovered that although I knew nothing, it didn’t take me long to grasp the meaning of things so in the five hours we spent in the library, I learnt a whole lot.
• “You should read up on these before the next class.” He highlighted several parts of the textbook and I happily promised to do so.
