• Despite paying attention as I asked him to, there was no suspicious movement from either Lily or the Blood Moon pack. Xander told me I was overestimating Lily and that no matter what the Blood Moon pack planned, they were not strong enough to be a serious threat to Silver Moon. They would tread with care if they cared for their pack’s safety.
• I was not a political genius and couldn’t say I was particularly knowledgeable about the politics of this world so I trusted him and let things go to the back of my mind.
• Examinations rolled by and then the semester came to an end. My first exams were brutal and met me crying more often than not. I was happier than anyone else to see them go but it fueled my determination to take my studies seriously. If I was already under so much pressure when it was only my first year, I couldn’t say how bad it would get in the future.
