• It wasn’t my imagination. Lily was in fact up to something. She may have been bidding her time until now but it was starting to take shape and I could clearly see what she was doing. It was the same thing I did in the last life. The same method of isolation I had tried but failed to perfect. The female lead had truly gone bad.
• “You’re thinking of Lily again,” Xander said as he burrowed into my skin. “Just focus on me. Even if she’s working with the Blood Moon pack, there’s little she can do.”
• “Yes but we have to thwart her in time.” I couldn’t explain to Xander how I knew the things I knew or that I had been the one to devise this method in the last life so I didn’t have much of a backing.
