Chapter 81

• I didn’t know what to expect the next time I saw Lily but I had not expected open hostility. The female protagonist looked at me like she wanted the ground underneath to open up and swallow me whole. It was a lot different from how she always looked at me and I suppose it was to be expected. There was not much to be surprised about, really.
• “Hey, Lily…” I was going to talk to her, to apologize to her because no matter what, a part of me still felt guilty but she entered her room and slammed the door shut. It was not before I heard a sob crack in her throat.
• “Are you still trying to be friends with her?” Xander asked as he opened the door. “You told me you didn’t have any more interest in her. I hope you were telling the truth, Selene.” There was a warning in his tone.
