• LILY’S POV
• I found out that there was nothing special about Selene. She was just like the other girls who would smile in my face and go behind my back to laugh at me. A few years ago, I had a ‘friend’ just like her. Mary was her name and she came to me at a time when I was at my lowest.
• As the pack runt, I was always discriminated against and had no friends but one day, Mary came to me and offered me a hand of friendship. For almost a month, we were friends and I’d run to her every time I had trouble. I’d even take on her chores and lend her money which she never paid back. I was just grateful to have a friend so I stuck with her but then I heard her talking trash about me, laughing at how gullible I was to be doing stuff for her and how pathetic I was looking for a friend.
