Chapter 18

• I faked an emergency to get away from the male lead who had started to talk nonsense. We were done with our meal so I rushed to stand but as I did, he did too, a tight smile on his lips and an indescribable look in his eyes.
• “You’re running away,” he said.
• “Running? Do you see me running? I’m standing right here, aren’t I?” His brow raised but I turned away and speed walked out of the place leaving him to settle the bill.
