• It was not enough that he put a hand on my thigh, he started to squeeze. Shocked, I raised my head and met eyes staring at me with as much shock as I felt. Regaining my senses, I pretended to have just noticed their presence.
• “Oops, it seems I have interrupted your meeting. I’ll be on my way then, sorry!” I apologized to the men and turned to place a kiss on Xander’s lips while my heart thumped.
• It was part of my seemingly grand plan, to kiss him in front of everyone while pretending to know nothing but things were not going my way. Rather than embarrassing him, I was turning out to be the one being embarrassed.
