• “Don’t yell at her.” Ethan stepped between Xander and I. “And what are you all staring at? Get back to your training!” It was interesting how everyone moved, scrambling away as if the last person would be punished.
• “Ethan, this is between Selene and I. Move,” Xander said through gritted teeth.
• “As you can see, she’s in no place to be interrogated. I’m taking her home,” Ethan reached out to me but Xander slapped his hand away.
