Chapter 9
- Thank God Leopold did have a lot of work to catch up tonight. Which meant, she could probably fall asleep before having to deal with him in the privacy of their bedroom.
- It was bad enough he had to be such an ogre at dinner this evening. Regina shook her head at the reminder of the displeased look in her daughter's eyes, plus the discomforting shift in Sophia's body language.
- What a bastard Leopold could be. Criticizing the poor girl's hopes and dreams toward her career, and stepping all over them like a boot stepping on an ant. Except Sophia was far from being an ant. Regina has only known the girl for a few hours today, but just by meeting her and having the pleasant chance to chat a little tonight during dinner, she could tell there was so much potential to Sophia.
