Chapter 179
- The last thing Sophia wanted to talk about was this dinner, but for the sake of keeping Regina's attention drifted from these damn marks on her arm- she caved. "Just a new pair of black jeans and a dress shirt. Elise got it for me, it's olive green, silk." Her eyes remained focused on Regina's bruising as she tended to her next wrist. "Regina…" Sophia inhaled slowly, forcing the anger boiling inside of her to stay deep within. "I don't want you alone with him."
- Regina could see Sophia's eyes turn darker, her jaw set in a tight line, her lips thin, almost white. She hated her going through whatever agony was boiling inside of her. She couldn't think of anything more to do, except raise her hand and place it gently against Sophia's pale cheek, to which caused Sophia to lean into her touch. "I'll be fine," she said with a sad smile to her. "Nothing that hasn't happened before will happen tonight."
- That told Sophia that even Regina didn't know the result of tonight.
