• "Mom," Elise sits up straight on the couch, allowing Daniel to get up and retrieve into the kitchen. "We all parted ways after what dad did. And in the end, you know what I realized? He didn't just hurt you- he hurt all of us. Sophia included. I can assure you that if she's in any way angry, it's possibly because of the fact that we all had distanced ourselves from one another. Which is why you two should see each other again, wait for the right moment to talk it out."
• Regina paused, and turned to look at the small stuffed panda that rested on her bed as she reached for it, bringing it up to her nose. It smelled like Sophia. Henry had insisted to his mother before leaving the zoo that they should buy Regina a stuffed companion too. Henry had chosen the name Oreo for him. "Well, she did ask me if I wanted to go to the fair with them tomorrow. Technically Henry wanted me to join, Sophia just went along with it."
• Elise grinned. "There you go! Believe it or not, Henry is an excellent tool for Sophia to keep you close. I guarantee you, it won't take long before Sophia invites you out to dinner, sends you some flowers. Her romantic ways haven't changed." She reaches out for a bowl of ice cream that Daniel hands to her and kisses him. "Take my advice mom. Live your life. After two years, it's time for you to do so. But take the time, accept a date when asked and talk things over with Sophia."
