• "Elise," Leopold startles her once again by holding her by her shoulders. "Your mother and Ms. Nolan have been making fools out of us. This whole time. I wouldn't be making this up." He rushes over to his laptop which already had part of the video edited and ready to play. "I was hoping… I didn't have to show you this. But you leave me no choice." He pressed down on the enter key and the video began to play.
• Elise walked closer, seeing the recorded feed in front of her play out, seeing the familiar figure of Sophia, and a pair of hands splay along her bare back that could only belong to her mother. Elise would recognize that bare back and hands splayed out anywhere. And if that wasn't enough, she could hear moans coming from the speakers, along with words exchanging and familiar names.
• Leopold allowed his daughter to watch the video until he shut the lid to his laptop, seeing her blink. "I know how this looks, Elise… But, once I had my suspicions I had to take drastic measures. And thank God, I did." He walked around her, observing the stiffness of her body, the way her shoulders lightly began to tremble. "Now do you see why I had to leave the house? Now do you see why I called you? Sweetheart," his hands gently grasped onto her arms.
