Chapter 201
- Not that Regina ever had much or any experience with kissing. Not enough to compare Sophia's to. But, she could tell you this… When Sophia kissed her… Time stood still. There were no troubles. There was no pain. There was no monster waiting for her at home. She wasn't a battered wife, or an anguished mother. Regina was a woman, discovering every single feeling of love and what it meant to be loved, pumping through her veins like a shot of adrenaline. And to hear Sophia word out her love as she saw it in her emerald green eyes; that was everything Regina always dreamed of having.
- As their kiss was deepened by Sophia, but not rushed- never rushed- Regina could feel a warmth on her cheeks that could only be described as the softness to Sophia's hands, holding onto her face with such delicacy. It was something so unfamiliar for Regina to experience, she wondered if it was normal for her heart to accelerate this fast as it was happening. Butterflies danced in the pit of her stomach. The blood in her veins rushed so much to her cheeks, they were warm. And as one of Sophia's hands slowly took the liberty to slide its way down Regina's shoulder, followed by her arm, next to her forearm, Regina felt a wave of chills rush up her spine.
- And as their breathing began to quicken, the brush and comfort of Sophia's hot breath against her parted lips settling in, the next thing Regina felt was a wet and warm caress, gently flicking at her top lip. It was so new, and so unexpected, it caused the brunette to interrupt their moment by placing her hands against Sophia's shoulders, enough to push herself off for a bit.
