Chapter 200
- So, no. Sophia shakes her head, because she refuses to feel entirely like shit for taking a necessary step she needed to, to be happy. It was expected to cry, it was expected for Elise to call her mother during her time of need. That's what daughters do when they don't have anyone else to turn to. Sophia had her fair share of mother/daughter moments with Mary Margaret. And Regina… She was Elise's mother for Christ sake. She needed to be there for her daughter, through lies and a pain of her own that Sophia would never begin to fully understand. If it's a moment Regina needed, Sophia would give it to her, but she would be damned to allow this to tear the woman she loved in half, and allow it to make her question if what they are doing is wrong.
- The door to Sophia's side creaks as she pushes it open and slams it back in place before heading toward the house. Her hands remain tucked away in her pockets until she is climbing up the porch and parting open both outer and inner doors. The first thing she can see is Regina's hunched over body as she is perched by the wooden breakfast table, elbows propped up, her face in her hands. Her black silky hair shadowed over them.
- Sophia wants to say something but thinks twice about it. She wants to say a great many things, but isn't sure what's the right one to begin with. One thing was certain, though. No matter what happened today, they both agreed to be here for one purpose and one purpose only. To talk.
