Chapter 424
- The salmon was sizzling and cooking. Vegetables were steamed, and the wine was chilled. It was perfect. Light music played in the background at low volume to not wake Henry up. Sophia placed the lid back on the pan, muffling the sizzling of the salmon and tossed one of her kitchen rags onto the counter as she heard the awaiting knock at the door.
- Her breath caught as she opened the door and saw Regina dressed in a lovely, simple floral dress, wearing a jean jacket on top to compliment it. It was as if seeing the old Regina, carefree and not having to worry about what to wear anymore.
- And for Regina, it was like seeing a more mature, but same old Sophia. Only this time, she lived in a nice loft apartment on the top floor, and for tonight's dinner she decided on wearing her best black dress pants and a white buttoned up shirt, tucked into her waistline, her sleeves rolled up to her forearms. The two top buttons were undone on her shirt, giving Regina a small glimpse of the necklace she had promised never to remove.
