Chapter 52
- "My dad used to hit my mom." Whatever crunching sounded below their feet as they walked along the gravel pathway came to a dead stop as the brunette faced her once again, this time with wide eyes. "She used to hide it from me when I was little, or she thought she would, but… Somehow, I always knew. And it didn't help that we didn't live in a mansion like this. We lived in a two bedroom apartment where unfortunately the walls were pretty thin." There's a sad smile to her that Regina can sympathize with.

"He would drink a lot, and he was out of work, constantly frustrated. My mother was a teacher, and the only one bringing home any money, so you can imagine how much that affected his ego."
