Maybe because if there was one person in this entire round world who could calm her thoughts, it was him. Or maybe because David had a rather soothing voice over the phone, and it kept Sophia grounded when she felt a little confused about certain things in her life.
• Then again- "Sophia? What's wrong, kiddo? You sound a little distant tonight." If anyone knew about matters of the heart, it was David Nolan. The only real father she ever knew.
